LibLab raised $42M. The Austin-based company provides software development kits (SDK) for engineering teams, calling itself a SDK-as-a-Service platform. The Series A raise will allow LibLab to expand its core SDK code generator services. The service is currently in closed beta testing. [PR Newswire]
Zello secured $20M. Zello is an app that transforms smartphones into a walkie talkie with its intuitive push-to-talk technology. The app has become popular among frontline workers in the retail, transportation, construction and hospitality industries. Oracle closed its acquisition of Cerner. The $28 billion acquisition, which was first announced in December, closed on June 8. Cerner will be organized as a dedicated industry business unit within Oracle. Oracle has said it plans to make Cerner’s primary interface a hands-free, voice digital assistant. Oracle also plans to transition Cerner to Oracle’s Gen2 Cloud infrastructure. [TechCrunch]
Austin tech quote of the week
Reflex was featured in the Future 5 series. The Austin startup has developed a platform that allows retail store managers to post open shifts that can be picked up by flex workers who don’t want to be tied down by a set schedule. Reflex recently emerged from stealth with $4.5 million, which it will use to expand its team and enter new markets. [Built In Austin]
443ID bagged $8M. Identity security startup 443ID emerged from stealth last week with the goal of introducing open source intelligence, or OSINT, to the identity security marketplace. The new seed funding will allow 443ID to grow its headcount from five to 25 employees. [Built In Austin]
Hypori received industry recognition. The company’s Hypori Halo product was named the Most Innovative Mobile Device Solution at the 10th Annual Global InfoSec Awards at the RSA Conference 2022. The product empowers companies using bring-your-own-device programs with the ability to stream a private virtual workspace to any device protecting customer data within their enterprise by preventing data at rest or in transit outside the enterprise.
