Venture capital funding is back in Austin. Last week, several tech companies and startups secured millions in funding and others announced their launch plans and new initiatives. RapidDeploy got $34M. RapidDeploy provides geolocation and data solutions for first responders and is used in over 1,500 emergency call centers. Last week, the company raised $34 million in a round that ​​Edison Partners led. Propello launched to improve the education industry. Propello is an edtech platform aimed at helping teachers provide the best education to their students. The startup develops and offers high-quality and research-backed curriculum for teachers. According to Propello, the company’s platform costs significantly less than other curriculum providers. Method Financial closed its Series A round. Method raised $16 million in a Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz. Austin-based Method provides credit and liability services for financially disadvantaged consumers. South by Southwest announced contenders for its pitch competition. SXSW is a yearly tech and entertainment festival in Austin where companies showcase their tech or pitch their companies. This year, Austin-based gigaroo and EverCase will participate in the SXSW Pitch competition. Suppli raised $3.1M. Suppli raised new funding in a round led by Equal Ventures. The company launched in Q4 2022 and developed a digital payment platform for independent construction supply companies.
