Sonar has announced the appointment of Clarissa O’Connell as its new chief human resources officer. The company, which is headquartered in Switzerland with an office in Austin, provides organizations with solutions for achieving and sustaining a clean code state.

Bringing more than two decades of experience to Sonar, O’Connell will be based in Austin upon joining the team. She most recently served as SVP of People at ClearDATA. Before her tenure there, she established the human resources department at Care.com. In her new role as CHRO, O’Connell’s responsibilities will include leading Sonar’s recruiting, employee training and people and culture management.

Sonar’s technology works to help developers write consistent, intentional, adaptable and responsible code. This clean code can in turn produce software that is maintainable, reliable and secure. The company’s goal is to ensure development teams can spend less time fixing issues and more time innovating.
