The Energy Engineer will integrate building automation systems data into Ameresco's platform, support on-site gateways, and ensure data quality while collaborating with stakeholders and customers.

Lead and grow a remote renewable energy engineering team, acting as technical owner for solar PV, BESS, microgrid, and EV charging projects. Partner with sales on technical strategy and proposals, oversee advanced energy and dispatch modeling, utility interconnection, vendor escalation, financial review, construction support, commissioning, and process improvement. Mentor engineers, allocate resources, and travel up to 25% for site visits and customer meetings.

Lead end-to-end AssetPlanner SaaS implementations for enterprise public-sector clients, managing scope, schedules, budgets, governance, and stakeholder alignment. Serve as primary client advisor on funding appropriation and capital planning, coordinate cross-functional teams, mitigate risks, drive process improvements, and mentor junior project managers to ensure project profitability and successful program delivery.

Support development, design, and execution of distributed energy resource projects (solar PV, battery storage, microgrids). Perform site assessments, engineering analyses, and prepare design packages, cost estimates, RFPs, and technical proposal content. Assist through construction, commissioning, and operations while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with codes and performance objectives.

Lead on-site execution of modular central utility plant installations and equipment replacements in active, mission-critical facilities. Oversee subcontractors, schedule shutdowns/tie-ins, ensure safety and quality, coordinate with engineers/commissioning teams, manage budget, procurement, logistics, commissioning, and turnover to operations while minimizing disruption to campus or facility services.

Analyze interval utility and submeter data, execute MBCx and FDD workflows, support metering and EMIS/DAS integration, quantify energy and demand savings, verify M&V performance, and present actionable recommendations to facility stakeholders.

Originate, develop, and close complex energy efficiency, renewable energy, and advanced technology solutions for public sector clients. Own the end-to-end sales lifecycle: opportunity identification, proposal development, contract negotiation, and handoff to delivery teams. Build executive relationships, lead proposal strategy, manage CRM pipeline and forecasting, represent the company at events, and support transition to project execution. Travel required; Texas market experience preferred.

Lead and build a preconstruction organization for large-scale power and mission-critical infrastructure. Own estimating, scheduling, procurement strategy, constructability, risk registers, execution planning, commissioning readiness, and pursuit strategy while partnering with BD, engineering, construction, finance, and executive leadership to support high-value EPC projects.

The Senior Client Success Manager will manage post-sales relationships with enterprise clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and identifying expansion opportunities. Responsibilities include driving client success, optimizing business processes, and managing service delivery across teams.

The Energy Engineer evaluates energy savings opportunities, analyzes utility data, oversees MBCx workflows, and delivers technical reports and presentations.

Lead building performance analysis and measurement & verification for multi-site portfolios. Analyze interval and sub-meter data, evaluate energy and demand reduction opportunities, implement MBCx/FDD and EMIS/BAS integrations, configure fault-detection rules, support metering and commissioning, produce technical reports and presentations, lead project teams, support proposals, and apply AI/ML to improve workflows.

Manage all phases of mobile building automation system (BAS) projects including planning, design coordination, installation oversight, commissioning, and closeout. Maintain schedules, budgets, and client relations while traveling extensively to coordinate field teams, control system integration, compliance, and project financials.

Serve as the onsite safety representative for a Kodiak Island construction project: conduct daily inspections, deliver safety training, enforce APP/AHAs/EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards, lead incident investigations, maintain documentation, coordinate with management/subcontractors/government, and promote a proactive safety culture.
