The role involves designing high-performance control systems for quantum computing, focusing on embedded software, real-time systems, and hardware orchestration. Responsibilities include building firmware for SDRs, optimizing software for quantum hardware, and collaborating across disciplines.

Design and build deterministic, low-latency control systems for quantum hardware. Develop embedded firmware, device drivers, kernel modules, and orchestration for GPUs/FPGAs. Prototype in Rust, Python, C/C++, and CUDA, and collaborate with theory, hardware, and software teams to deliver production-ready, high-throughput control pipelines.

Lead technical direction and architecture for the orchestration software that coordinates quantum computing workloads. Rewrite research prototypes into production services, mentor engineers, deploy and monitor production systems, improve CI/CD, collaborate with hardware and quantum teams, and represent engineering externally.

Design, build, and operate backend services that orchestrate quantum computing workloads, manage experimental data, productionize research prototypes, automate calibration/tuning, schedule and analyze algorithm execution, drive architecture decisions, support production deployment and monitoring, and improve CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with quantum engineers and participating in on-call support.
