The Staff Accountant manages accounts payable and receivable, site cash boxes, payroll, and employee time-off requests. The role also supports employee onboarding and offboarding, building access management, and administrative coordination. Success requires strong organization, confidentiality, attention to detail, communication, time management, basic computer skills, and familiarity with clinical research regulations, GCP, ICH guidelines, and medical terminology.

Supports clinical operations by maintaining and quality-checking trial master files, preparing regulatory and study documents, tracking clinical progress and enrollment, coordinating meetings, managing training records, communicating with study sites and vendors, and entering data into clinical tracking systems. Ensures documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with SOPs, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines.

Supports accounting operations in a multi-entity environment, including month-end close, GAAP-compliant journal entries, financial schedules, fixed assets, credit cards, Concur expenses, vendor payments, payroll, reconciliations, government reporting, 1099 reporting, and internal controls. Responds to inquiries, troubleshoots issues, and helps improve finance processes.

Processes multi-state payroll for multiple entities, including timecard review, payroll adjustments, tax forms, benefits-related inquiries, garnishments, PTO, and employee support. Coordinates approvals with HR and management, assists Finance with payroll accruals, prepares analytical reports, and ensures year-end payroll statement accuracy. Requires strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, financial analysis, payroll software, and Microsoft Office. The role is remote and may support company projects as needed.

Serves as the secondary physician at a clinical research site, supporting the Principal Investigator in conducting Phase I-IV trials. Oversees subject care, informed consent, protocol compliance, investigational product use, adverse event reporting, IRB submissions, data accuracy, documentation, audits, and research staff operations. The role requires maintaining regulatory compliance with GCP and ICH guidelines, collaborating with sponsors and monitors, supporting patient recruitment, and representing the organization with potential clinical trial sponsors.

Conducts independent monitoring of clinical trial sites, including qualification, initiation, interim, and close-out visits. Ensures compliance with protocols, SOPs, FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, and study timelines. Manages investigator site files, Trial Master File documentation, investigational product accountability, data queries, correspondence, action items, and monitoring reports. Requires extensive domestic travel, strong clinical research expertise, and at least five years of CRA experience.

Ensures compliance with protocols, SOPs, FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and GCP. Manages investigator site files, trial master file documentation, investigational product accountability, data queries, site communications, training, and monitoring reports. Requires extensive travel and may mentor junior CRAs while working independently as a contractor.
