Work under charge nurses to assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding), take vitals, document care in EMR, observe/report condition changes, assist with mobility and safe lifting, provide compassionate customer service. Begin with a minimum two-week Hospitality Aide period before entering Nurse Aide training and potential CNA certification assistance.

Provide direct resident care under charge nurse direction: assist with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing), measure and record vital signs, document care in electronic medical records, observe and report condition changes, assist with mobility and transfers, and perform supportive hospitality duties during an introductory period prior to CNA training.

Assess medical appropriateness for inpatient and outpatient services through concurrent, retrospective, and pre-service reviews. Ensure compliance with CMS/state regulations, use MCG/InterQual, coordinate with providers and medical directors, and support Medicare Advantage/Managed Medicaid UM processes.

Provide legal, compliance, and risk management support including contract drafting/review, corporate governance, healthcare regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid), litigation support, legal research, document management, policy updates, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, IT, Clinical, and Operations.

Manage facility financial operations including AR, deposits, credit card/EFT processing, Medicare/Medicaid/hospice billing, refunds, bad debt, Medicaid applications/renewals, reconciliations, and regular financial reviews with administration.

Provide clinical advisory, training, auditing, and QA support to nursing home leadership; review records, policies, regulatory reports, and staff performance; develop and follow up on Plans of Correction; deliver staff training and participate in quality assurance, policy development, and quarterly financial and QA meetings.

Greet and direct callers and visitors, handle mail and general office duties, assist Business Office with accounts payable and resident billing, verify vendor exclusions, and support staff recruitment and retention activities.

Prepare and serve meals and beverages for residents under the Certified Dietary Manager's direction, assist with food prep and cooking, set up and pass trays, stock snack cart, buss tables, wash dishes, clean kitchen areas, and follow food safety and handwashing guidelines.

Assist the Dietary Manager with daily dietary operations, staff training, food preparation per menus/recipes, meal inspection, and enforcing food safety and HACCP guidelines. Ensure sanitation, proper receiving/storage/service, work rotating shifts, and perform duties as assigned.

Provide overnight charge nursing for residents in a skilled nursing facility: assess and document conditions, implement care plans, administer medications, conduct rounds with physicians, reconcile narcotics, oversee aides, complete incident reports, manage discharges, and communicate resident status to contacts. Complete nursing assessments before physician calls and perform other duties assigned by nursing leadership.
