The Business Development Representative generates qualified sales pipeline for Vestwell’s financial advisor channel through outbound prospecting, account research, discovery, qualification, and relationship building. Responsibilities include using phone, email, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Salesloft; maintaining accurate CRM records; communicating value propositions; handling objections; participating in coaching; and consistently meeting performance goals. This six-month development role prepares high-performing representatives for full-cycle sales positions.

Own the full sales cycle for Vestwell’s financial advisor marketplace within an assigned region. Responsibilities include prospecting, needs assessment, consultative guidance, pipeline management, forecasting, plan design discussions, opportunity prioritization, and closing sales. The role partners with regional leadership and cross-functional teams, manages advisor relationships, applies MEDDPICC methodology, and achieves quotas and conversion KPIs.

Provides frontline service to employer and advisor clients by handling inbound inquiries, troubleshooting issues, coordinating cross-functional resolutions, managing expectations, documenting interactions, and ensuring timely follow-up. The role also supports client calls, communicates plan updates, escalates complex issues, and shares client insights with product teams. Strong customer service, organization, critical thinking, attention to detail, and proficiency with office software are required.
