The Opportunity:

The Senior Manager of Global Channels & Content is part of the Global Partner Marketing Organization and is responsible for building awareness with HomeAway owners and managers on all of the things we’re doing to save them time and help them make more money. We are looking for a seasoned, analytical leader that has experience distributing effective, customer-centric communications. Building and leading your group of channel authorities and content creators, you will ensure we take an informed approach to enabling our partners. The role will bring to bear both your experiences coordinating and executing content marketing deliverables as well as your channel measurement, optimization, and operations experiences.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Management

  • Develop and optimize HomeAway partner channel strategy 
  • Establish channel best practices (strategy and operations) 
  • Build and optimize content and editorial calendars for different initiatives across all HomeAway partner channels
  • Plan and oversee content pieces ranging from short quick content to larger pieces that are part of integrated marketing programs
  • Lead the content development process end to end working with internal and external resources 
  • Maintain and track processes and progress of various campaigns and initiatives

Storytelling

  • Reach HomeAway customers worldwide with relevant, on-brand stories 
  • Ensure that strategic customer communications come to life and reach a majority of our audiences

Measurement

  • Develop a channel playbook rooted in performance and customer reach 
  • Develop a framework to track and measure performance of every piece of content and optimize/ test to improve reach and engagement over time
  • Summarize insights and conversations into actionable reports that lead to optimizations and communication enhancements, ultimately improving product adoption, retention and net promoter scores over time

Leadership

  • Coach, lead and build a team of content creators and channel experts
  • Establish processes and frameworks that enable a best-in-class communication platform
  • Collaborate with and influence across the HomeAway organization, i.e., Product Managers, Marketers, and executive leadership.
  • Recommend innovative ways to reach our target audiences

Profile / Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in channel strategy, operations, management, and measurement
  • 2+ years experience in content strategy, management, and execution, including coordination of campaigns, project management and content creation
  • 3+ years managing people
  • Strong strategic/ analytical / reporting and communication skills 
  • Expertise in A/B testing and analysis
  • Demonstrated history working in close partnership and developing strong relationships with product management, internal marketing teams, and external agencies 
  • Copywriting and editing experience across a variety of content media
  • Familiarity with all content formats: video production, blogs, testimonials, webinars, whitepapers, Photoshop
  • Readiness and flexibility
