Vrbo is seeking an intellectually curious, collaborative and experienced analytics leader expert to join the Global Analytics & Data Insights (ADI) team in Austin as the Sr Manager of Traveler product. The ADI team fuels data-informed decisions, proactively seeks data-driven solutions to enhance web products and improve customer experience.

Who You Are

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in engineering, physics, mathematics, science or analytics

  • A total of 8-10 years of experience in web and product analytics

  • Authority in clickstream behavioral analytics (web analytics, digital analytics)

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, structuring, and transforming

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to lead a team (5-7 analysts)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with modern web analytics tools (Adobe analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Coremetrics etc)

  • Hands-on experience using relational databases and big data via writing performant queries in SQL against multi-terabyte and billion row datasets in EDW, AWS and Hadoop environments

  • Hands-on experience using modern visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Qlik)

  • Experience in a relevant area – travel, ecommerce, or real estate is a strong plus

What you’ll do:

  • Influence and drive prioritization of roadmap of clickstream analytics solution at Vrbo

  • Influence and drive the roadmap for clickstream tools selection for Vrbo and across other Expedia Group brands

  • Build roadmap of data annotations, anomaly detection and trend predictions to drive proactive insights on business performance

  • Partner with data engineering and analytics platform teams to automate corporate level reporting of business performance and traveler metrics

  • Generate and publish proactive insights on traveler behavioral analytics and product analytics

  • Act as an authority in clickstream behavioral analytics and provide consulting across the organization

  • Drive precise, deep analyses and communicate prioritized and actionable recommendations to a variety of stakeholders (experts, non-experts, product managers, marketers and senior leaders) at various company forums

  • Partner closely with other analytics team leads to prioritize and orchestrate analytics needs to make impact on business priorities and outcomes

  • Help the analytics and product teams establish and communicate a set of prioritized OKRs (Objective Key Results) at the planning process and every 180 days

  • Hiring and leading a solid team of analysts to drive key analytics priorities aligned to organizations strategic imperatives and business priorities

  • Establishing a solid foundation for clickstream behavioral analytics in the first 6-12 months to meet business objectives across the organization

  • Partnering with brands across Expedia Group on data platform, common clickstream, common identity and traveler journey mapping
