The Role

The Medallia People Technology team is seeking a Senior Workday Analyst who is experienced in HCM to design and implement elegant solutions that bring efficiency and scale to our global organization. Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience implementing all phases of a Workday HCM project, including partnering with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of business process requirements, leveraging best practices to design, configure and test solutions, partnering with the HRIS team in IT on integrations, running end-user training sessions, and providing post-implementation support. We’re looking for a critical thinker who is naturally curious and intrinsically motivated to continuously improve the system.

Responsibilities

  • Be the key Subject Matter Expert (SME) to determine the right technology solution to meet strategic business initiatives
  • Triage, diagnose, and resolve Workday functional issues originating from end-users, business process events, etc.
  • Lead projects as defined by leadership, which includes leading meetings, providing regular project updates, and adhering to project deadlines
  • Gather business requirements from Medallia’s Workday users and translating those into efficient & effective solutions
  • Recommend technical solutions taking into account priorities and trade-offs, and drive alignment among stakeholders
  • Provide pre and post-launch end-user support, testing, change management, and training
  • Review upcoming enhancements and release information and identify what changes will impact the organization 
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Workday users across the organization
  • Mentor others on the team by actively sharing knowledge and expertise

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with HR systems and with Workday
  • Demonstrated Workday configurations experience in core modules (HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Performance, Talent & Recruiting), Custom Reports & Calc Fields, Business Process, and/or Domain Security Configuration & EIBs
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, requirements gathering, quality assurance & user acceptance testing, and preparing documentation and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively & collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience successfully owning multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • High proficiency in making decisions by consistently proposing quality solutions and answers to issues by gathering extensive data, conducting research, and presenting a recommended solution to all parties involved
  • A strong understanding of Time Off plans, Accruals, Leaves and Calculation Engine operations including Absence process requirements
