Your Opportunity
You will serve as the primary designer on some of Rapid7's most innovative security management solutions.
You will be working with leadership to establish a shared vision by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams with be key in order to drive the strategy.
You will be successful if you are a tenacious design thinker and leader in possession of strong competencies in visual analytics, data curation, usability.

Responsibilities
- Define product goals and core user needs by leveraging design-thinking concepts.
- Lead and collaborate on new product development initiatives through building effective business cases that identify business value and recommend metrics to measure success at the product level
- Plan and execute research to develop a solid understanding of users, and translate this research into personas, user stories, and story maps
- Deliver superb experiences that will meet user and business needs
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify, articulate, and prioritize scope and requirements and manage expectations
Requirements
- 4+ years experience working in a firm where product/service strategies and innovation were a significant percentage of your time and focus
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, visual design, or psychology a plus
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with applying Design Thinking methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfortable presenting (and interacting with) everyone from entry-level employees to vice presidents
- Collaborative working style, willingness to flex roles and responsibilities when needed to support larger team goals and outcomes
