Real Chemistry is a global health innovation company with offices across the United States and Europe. We believe that the way to real, transformative change is through the uncommon combination of disciplines, technologies, and our greatest asset – our people. We are currently looking to add to our alchemic mix of more than 1,800 talented professionals. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing global company committed to making the world a healthier place for all.

We are Seeking a Hands On, User Experience (UX/UI) Director who savors and appreciates the big picture as much as the granular details in crafting superior experiences; who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where they can take their “can do” demeanor and continue to hone their craft and grow their discipline within the company; who excels at simplifying the complex and does it in a highly collaborative way, partnering with different functions from strategy to creative to tech, regardless of geography (ie, the “long hallway.”). This candidate should harness those qualities and more to architect interaction strategies that deliver on both customer needs and business goals.

A portfolio of work must be submitted with your application (via a website or file sharing link, or an additional attachment) to be considered for this position. Work submitted must reflect digital experience and an understanding of digital agencies (additional experience in digital graphic design and/or illustration is a plus).

  • Translate and define complex concepts and interactions through information architecture, consisting of user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes as a blueprint for interactive projects and design

Collaboration

  • Collaborate (often across different offices) with a cross-functional team of client team members, visual designers, copywriters, developers, & strategists to elicit experience requirements
  • Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
  • Help establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • The ability to maintain a constant state of evolving skills, industry knowledge and vision to meet the needs of the product
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to concept interactive solutions that work within/beyond the parameters of traditional UX experiences and meet or exceeds strategic brand objectives
  • Experience required in developing user flows, sitemaps, wireframes and user interfaces for an array of digital mediums
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Sketch, and InVision) - You will be choosing and implementing these tools

Position Requirements

  • Experience with website personalization technologies (e.g., Monetate, Optimizely) and best practices
  • Experience with web analytics, web support, data tagging, and site measurement tools
  • Familiar with ADA compliance guidelines re: accessibility

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including very good presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, with both internal and external parties
  • Individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to make things happen with limited direction
