The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at HomeAway for a Display & Paid Social Marketing Manager to join our growth marketing team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Display & Social Media Marketing.

This role is part of a global team, with a focus on driving growth and incremental revenue through online display and paid social channels for our US brands, HomeAway and VRBO. The role would suit an experienced digital and biddable media manager looking to make a mark in an innovative and growing business.

Based in our Austin, TX office, you will help building a successful team, working directly with channel leaders and in collaboration with different departments, allowing you to enjoy a full view on all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting leadership in development and activation of always on global digital media initiatives that drive profitability and growth for the business
  • Managing display and paid social media analysts to execute effective in-house digital media campaigns through key self-serve platforms such as Google AdWords, Facebook and DoubleClick
  • Work with our in-house programmatic marketing stack to ensure best practices and processes are followed in campaign management, optimizations and a|b testing
  • Analyzing and drawing insights from performance and audience data to optimize campaigns, working with our BI and Trading team on data analysis
  • Manage vendors to increase conversion rates and return on investment for both prospecting and retargeting campaigns
  • Work closely with internal Retail and Local Marketing teams to identify key regional opportunities in the US market to drive locally relevant campaigns and messages
  • Drive regional destination management programs to grow key US markets from a traveler and supplier conversion perspective
  • Partner with other Growth Marketing and Programmatic product partners to grow audience, bidding and marketing automation services to support display and paid social channels
  • Work with internal creative and integrated marketing teams to build and execute testing frameworks that drive value proposition breakthrough and audience segment growth
  • Communicating display performance and test read outs to local and leadership teams

Requirements:

  • A minimum 5 year experience in online and programmatic media buying actively running programs through relevant ad management platforms
  • Hands-on experience of driving success through digital channels with experience in buying media through programmatic platforms and through direct deals
  • Experience with DoubleClick Bid Manager, Facebook Ads Manager and other DSP and media buying platforms
  • Understanding of operational processes for online digital marketing campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of attribution and measurement of digital media
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to key stake holders
  • A collaborative approach and ability to interact with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing and product
  • BA or BSc degree level qualifications, ideally with a Business Management or Marketing major
  • Fluent in English
