The Opportunity

Our Engineering Manager of Enterprise Systems will lead and manage a team of Oracle Applications Developers and Database Administrators. You’ll be responsible for the technical infrastructure, implementation, performance, support, customizations and testing of HomeAway ERP Oracle Applications. You will work closely with product managers and business leaders to bring together the overall road-map with the technical expertise of engineering teams and architects. You will lead the team through fast paced development cycles; committed to automation, agile, lean-startup, and continuous delivery approach. As the leader of your team – you’ll conduct design and code walkthroughs, peer reviews, and produce technical-documentation around the systems you implement. You’ll leverage your project management toolkit to plan project road-maps, schedules, and ensure effective management of resources. Our ideal candidate, at a minimum, will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience working as a senior/lead engineer.
• Proven extensive knowledge and success serving as a team lead/architect or IT/Development Manager who understands various
• Oracle application-based systems and contributes in customization, architecture, infrastructure, middleware and application development.
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Solid SQL, PL/SQL background.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of Financial and Human Resource Information Systems with global implementation, support, integration, and development / customization experience in Oracle EBS modules.
• An ability to provide detailed analysis of problems, recommend and implement solutions.
• An ability to estimate development tasks accurately and meet agreed upon deadlines.
• Knowledge of change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, defect tracking and release management.
• Hands-on experience and technical depth to be successful in this role.

Nice to have:

• Oracle database and application server administration experience.
• Expertise with PL/SQL, Java, XML, OAF page development, Oracle Workflow, Custom Web ADI, Webservice Integration.
• Knowledgeable of cloud integration platforms; Kafka, Casandra
• Agile certification.
