Job Summary:
As a Front-End Developer-Designer at Real Chemistry, you’ll Design the Look and build the applications for the frontend of both our company and our client’s proprietary web sites (both internal and public/client-facing), as well as help maintain and grow our company websites, landing pages, microsites and other digital and social media properties. You should have a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of integrity and organization, plus a desire to be on the lookout for new technologies that enhance the effectiveness of these properties. As a Front-End Developer-Designer, you not only develop new functionality to meet requirements, but you will also ensure solutions follow W2O’s brand standards for intuitive, accessible and well-designed user experiences. You will need to have a solid understanding of component-based development, be able to create clean, cutting edge and bug free code, as well as responsive and semantic design.
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate excels at all aspects of front-end design and development, with a clear proficiency in one or more modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc. – our stack includes React and some proprietary React-like vanilla JS). You should be highly proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery etc. Additionally, expertise with a CMS (ideally WordPress, though other CMS will be considered) is strongly desired. A shareable creative design portfolio with proven expertise demonstrating both the look, feel and the functionality of digital properties you have created is required.
Required Skills & Experience:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3+ years proven business experience in modern FrontEnd development and deployment.
3+ years of web based, digital design
Advanced experience in one or more leading FrontEnd frameworks, such as React, Vue, Angular, etc.
Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), ideally WordPress
Ability to transform wireframes and high-level designs into semantic, accessible frontend interfaces of complex web apps, as well as developing reusable UI components.
Experience with CLI & build tools.
