  • Design, implement, and maintain tooling to secure self service infrastructure

  • Develop and implement workflows to automate security testing/vulnerability detection for the software development lifecycle

  • Continuously improve our infrastructure for PKI, secrets, secure networking, logging, and detection

  • Scope and perform security reviews of web applications, mobile applications, and private and public cloud environments

  • Think like an attacker to expose vulnerabilities and solve complex problems

  • Advocate for security as a subject matter expert across multiple organizations, holding discussions on security topics and drive automation across the organization

  • Identify architectural deficiencies and implement vulnerability mitigation strategies to address them

  • Provide our Engineering team with well-researched security advice to demonstrate vulnerabilities, collaborate with all teams to provide secure development guidance

  • Work across Ruby on Rails, Apache, Nginx, PostgreSQL, AWS tech stacks

What we are looking for:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience is required; MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in Application Security with at least 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails development with deployment to a production environment

  • 3+ years of experience in penetrating testing, including mobile & web applications

  • Experience with conducting threat assessments, building threat models, and creating remediation plans based on the results of threat assessments

  • Thorough understanding of vulnerability classes (OWASP), how they can be exploited

  • Experience analyzing risk & prioritization of vulnerability remediation using MITRE ATT&CK within the greater context of assets & control stack

  • Expertise with APPSEC methods & tools including threat modeling, design patterns, SAST, DAST, bug bounty programs

  • Expertise automating security testing and developing new tools
