Senior Engineering Manager
We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and disciplined Software Engineering Manager to join the Lodging Supply Connectivity technology team as part of Platform and Marketplace’s Lodging Supply division.
In this role based in Austin TX, you will lead a North America-based engineering team providing technical leadership and people management for your team members with the aim of driving effective and efficient delivery of our road map. This also entails working with business partners to flesh out requirements, drive solution design, development, and ultimate delivery. We are also constantly looking for ways to improve our software development methodologies and can't wait for fresh ideas and approaches.
What you’ll do:
Drive agile development methodologies every day
Strive to continuously improve the operations, processes, methodologies, technology choices, and practices of the team
Be an active coach and mentor to your team and grow them in their careers
Ensure our documentation is complete
Interact with your team, customers, and peers to share information and improve cross-department processes
Strive for clarity and partnership between our engineers and our business partners
Ensure features deployed have technical integrity and stability
Engage in concept discussions, and proposed technology solutions, to meet business objectives
Work with multi-functional project teams on solution architecture options for design
Ensure all code is reviewed appropriately and meets quality, operational and architectural standards needed for successful product delivery
Who you are:
BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other tech programs and/or related experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong coordination and influencing skills
Strong experience in object-orientated programming, such as Java or C++
Shown success previously as a software engineering leader who is able to focus on results using Agile methodologies, and open development environments
