Are you seeking a leadership opportunity within a mission-critical team that is core to the business' success? We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager to join the Core Experience team under Travel Partners Technology Group. In this role, you will lead one or more agile teams of software engineers to drive outcomes for our critical systems that are directly impactful to our business.

What you’ll do:
Lead the agile software development phases of various projects, drive roadmap execution, provide technical direction for the project(s) while planning for new ones.
Anticipate and recognize bottlenecks in work processes between teams and makes suggestions for ongoing improvement.
Coordinate with team to define the measures of success for process improvements.
Partner with produce management peers to determine different milestones and priorities.
Partner with the business to have a clear understanding of how the technology stack is tied to business outcomes and our bottom line.
Identify areas of improvement within the code and suggests solutions.
Advocate for operational excellence (such as unit testing, establishing SLAs, programming for resiliency and scalability).
Contribute to product development by identifying industry change, listen to customer needs, gather feedback, and present feedback to business partners
Examine inefficiencies in the existing stack operation and encourage engineers to improve them
Bridge the gap in discussions between technology and non-technology personnel
Report on team status faithfully and listen for suggestions to improve lagging project work
Review the skill and expertise requirements to accomplish team goals and manage staffing and talent resources
Guide employees and managers in the development of team, and individual goals, providing regular and specific feedback, and assessing individual and team performance
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree or Masters in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
Equivalent experience includes: Recruited engineers into own team, Performance managed at least 3 individual contributors
Strong technical leadership background with ability to inspire and empower those around you
10+ years of demonstrated experience in software development
Ability to navigate a constantly evolving landscape, while handling multiple responsibilities
Hands-on experience with development in AWS, Spring Boot, Node JS, React
Curious about new technology and always looking to acquire new knowledge
You have acted as a mentor to both individual contributors and managers on your own teams
You have defined team goals and how they fit business needs across multiple teams
You have delivered and influenced a product roadmap
