The Opportunity
Adobe's Cloud Engineering organization is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its high-paced Security Engineering team. This team is primarily responsible for developing, deploying, monitoring, and running information security tooling. Additionally, this team provides security guidance and support to multiple solution teams within Cloud Engineering, supports several functions associated with critical compliance controls, is developing machine learning models to identify malicious actors and behaviors, and drives the security of a large and complex technical environment that spans physical data centers and public cloud.
What you'll Do
- Develop and support application vulnerability scanning services and related processes
- Build proactive security automations aimed at decreasing manual remediation work
- Maintain security processes tied to critical security and compliance controls
- Build monitoring processes for security tooling and data
- Support and maintain critical security infrastructure
- Help improve our detection capabilities through engineering projects and tooling improvements
- Perform risk analysis and provide prioritized remediation recommendations to engineering teams
What you need to succeed
- BS/MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, information security, or similar
- 7+ years of experience working with application and/or operational security, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Hands on experience with Splunk, Python, and/or cloud platforms/technologies, such AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Well-versed in application layer vulnerabilities and scanning technologies (i.e. static code analysis, 3rd party library scanning, etc.)
- Familiarity with common ports, protocols, and services
- Experience with Linux operating systems and automation tools (i.e. Salt, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
- Ability to understand and articulate security risks, as well as proposing solutions and/or mitigating controls
- Attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn new skills proactively, support other team members, and work independently
- Ability to accurately prioritize and timely execute tasks in a high-paced environment
- Superior communication skills (presentation, written, and verbal) to effectively interact with all levels of professional staff. Ability to explain complex concepts simply
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking
