In this role, you’ll deliver and monitor state-of-the-art cloud applications hosted in AWS.

As a member of our Platform Delivery team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile group that plays a critical role in the organization. This team works cross-functionally across engineering departments to ensure the timely release of multiple products.

We strive to maintain a DevOps culture (empowering development, infrastructure as code, etc.) for a growing set of micro-service based SaaS products. We also support an ownership culture and have developers on-call for their services. We find this helps prevent the traditional "worked in Dev, Ops problem now" mentality.

What does your day-to-day look like?

Create and contribute to open source tooling such as awsaml, tokend, or propsd to ship software better and faster

Collaborate with other teams to deliver software running on AWS

Monitor stability and performance of our cloud platform

Guide engineering staff on best practices 

Provide documentation and training for tooling

What does our Software Stack look like?

A lot of our open source tools are written in Ruby and Javascript

Our development teams mostly use Java

We manage our SaaS infrastructure on AWS using Terraform

We use Spinnaker to deploy apps to EC2, but someday soon Kubernetes

We use a wide variety of storage backends, such as Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL & Cassandra

We use Jenkins to build everything, creating jobs via the Jobs DSL to codify the entire process
