At A Glance

As an Engineer on the Floodlight team, you will collaborate with Security stakeholders and Engineering customers to enable driving improvements to the security posture of Red Ventures. You will build integrations and tooling to provide visibility to the security risks present in our cloud infrastructure and applications. You will build tooling to enable awareness of security risks and reduce friction when engineers need to take remediation actions.  You will proactively find opportunities to shift security left and drive a security-minded culture through education and automation. In doing this work, you will have the autonomy to work independently, have an impact across Red Ventures, and interact with a broad group of customers – including engineers and tech leaders throughout the company.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with stakeholders and incorporate a product mindset to deliver strategic, innovative cloud-based security tooling.
• Build features and services that drive identifying, visualizing, and notifying engineers & tech leaders of security risks.
• Get hands-on with data visualization and automated reporting.
• Integrate with various vendor APIs to ingest key security data that requires action.

 What We’re Looking For

• Deep expertise with a public cloud provider, preferably AWS.
• Experience with preventing and mitigating cloud misconfiguration risks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications and serverless technologies.
• Solid grasp of standard security methodologies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, preferably CDK.
• Experience shifting security left in an organization.
• Background in DevSecOps thinking
• Experience writing code, preferably with Golang.
