Bestow is expanding our Technology Operations team. Do you like being a part of innovation, making an immediate impact, and working with pioneering and empathetic people? If so, then this is where you want to be. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and managing our geographically distributed environment of macOS and Windows client endpoints and end-user services. Bestow is a macOS-centric environment with a dedicated group of core Windows users—intimate client infrastructure proficiency with both platforms is key to the role’s success.

• You will manage, configure and support SaaS tools, and play a vital role in designing and implementing new systems and tooling.

• You should have a background in IT, endpoint systems engineering, and systems engineering with a strong emphasis on security in a zero-trust environment. 

• You will manage the maintenance and configuration of desktop operating systems and applications, create custom solutions for application/service deployments and project initiatives by the Technical Operations, Information Security, and Engineering departments.

• This role will encompass support duties and an on-call requirement

Your day to day:

• Manage the various SaaS platforms used at Bestow (Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian Cloud, GitHub, New Relic, Slack, 1Password, Zoom, Dropbox, Microsoft 365, and more)
• Evaluate new technologies and IT services
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with the Platform Engineering team to implement those fixes
• Design, build, document, deploy, iterate, and support ongoing automation of client endpoints
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Assist team with monitoring and resolving escalated requests for support
• Liaise with vendors and other Bestow personnel for problem resolution

A little about you:

• 4+ years of experience in client endpoint engineering and systems management (preferably with experience in Jamf PRO).
• 2+ years experience with cloud identity provider management(Okta, Google Workspace)3+ years of network management and support experience (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, using Cisco Meraki and similar)
• 3+ years of supporting and managing modern SaaS security and endpoint protection solutions
• Experience in a zero-trust/ enterprise security environment
• Experience and understanding of core IT Service Management functions, such as Change Management and Incident Management.
• Solid proficiency with scripting languages (bash and or Python)
• Experience with packaging and deployment of applications.
• Enthusiastic about creating and documenting processes and solutions
• Familiarity with working within an agile/scrum methodology
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up
• Excellent written and verbal communication
