Rapid7 is seeking a motivated technical educator to serve as our Sales Engineering Readiness Specialist! This role will serve as the focal point of knowledge management, technical enablement, systems readiness, and content coordination for the Sales Engineering Organization. You will help shape the structure of the SE Enablement Program and work with various cross-functional stakeholders to ensure Rapid7 SE’s are up-to-date on our products and latest security trends. - Partner with Sales Engineers to develop readiness tracks, strategy and systems for Rapid7 SEs including SE enablement, product certification, and access to demo systems, trial, & lab environments
- Knowledge Management of content and systems utilized by Sales Engineering, ensures content in systems of record are up-to-date and SE’s are able to leverage knowledge bases across the company to effectively execute workload
- Coordinate with Product Practices to ensure Go-to-Customer readiness of Sales Engineers, Facilitating informative roadmap, enablement, and feedback meetings between Applied Engineering and Practice representatives.
- Ensure our demo systems tell incredible stories and highlight key features of the Rapid7 Insight Platform
- Develop upskilling strategies for Sales Engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally to stay sharp on the latest technologies and industry trends across security
- Define Sales Engineer readiness success metrics and SLAs, establishing insight into the time, depth, and methods required to provide incredible experiences to our prospects and customers.
About you
- 3+ years of experience as an SE, or in a role educating technical sellers, preferably in the security industry
- You enjoy experimenting with the tools you use, and have experience optimizing the content of security software to highlight key use cases or integrations
- Strong knowledge of technical learning pathways, and the content, systems, and processes required to develop Subject Matter Experts at scale
- A passion for educating others in security-related topics and problem solving
- Understanding of the security ecosystem, as well as the components of a successful technical selling motion
- The ability to work well with cross functional stakeholders, actively listening and collaborating to define and solve multi-organization problem setsf
- Experience managing multiple projects or programs simultaneously is a plus
