Job Summary

We are seeking a Client Finance Manager to join our growing team. This key position is responsible for helping to run the day-to-day fiscal management of an Operating company within Real Chemistry, partnering with Account Management, Legal and various other agency departments. Responsibilities include being the primary support to Client Finance leadership, Operating Company Leader and Account leads, assisting in resourcing, revenue forecasting and project management. The Client Finance Manager reports to the Director, Client Finance and must be proactive and talented at fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal person is a team-player who can recognize business challenges and create effective solutions for those challenges through the design and implementation of systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact between revenue team as a whole and cross functional teams such as Sales, Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Legal, Systems, and Finance.

  • Own the revenue cycle for Technology business unit.

  • Manage and prepare revenue reporting – Weekly, Monthly, YTD, FY and Revenue analysis and variance analysis.

  • Own revenue tracking and reporting function. Prepare budget and maintain rolling forecasts.

  • Perform and review monthly account analyses and reconciliations, including validating deferred revenue, accounts receivable and revenue financial statement balances.

  • Analyze staffing, utilization and billability as well as collaborate to implement strategies for improvement.

  • Implement and document processes and procedures as required to support strong internal control environment and drive efficiencies.

  • Manage SOW review and processing.

  • Ensure client scope approvals and manage POs.

  • Effectively manage and track projects.

  • Ensure timely billing of agency fees and out of pocket expenses.

  • Manage recurring project status meetings.

  • Assist with Audit requests.

  • Gatekeeper for MSAs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration is required.

  • 4+ years Client Finance/FP&A/Finance experience.

  • Experience with enterprise level financial systems, NetSuite, Open Air, and Adaptive is a plus (Tech saavy).

  • Experience working in Advertising/Public Relations firm essential. Digital and Tech service experience is a plus.

  • Strong Accounting knowledge such as experience applying revenue and expense accounting guidelines as well as strong business acumen.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Data Visualization, Power Point, and Dashboard reporting.

  • Must possess sound judgment skills & be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

  • Deliver quality work.

  • Adjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing demands; meet deadlines by managing time & priorities.

  • Appropriately involve others in a process or decision to ensure their support.

  • Maintain working knowledge of functional area policies and procedures and general knowledge of company policy and procedures.

  • Deliver proactive data that is relevant & whereby key decisions can be made.

  • Professional communication manner and ability to triage messages when appropriate.

  • Exhibit a positive, pro-active “can do” attitude with all team members and is willing to pitch in whenever needed.

  • Perform ad hoc projects and reporting as needed by executive team.
