Human Resources Director

The Fathom5 Human Resources Director is the leader of Fathom5’s Human Resources Department and serves as the right-hand to the Chief Executive Officer in two main areas of focus:
- Lead the Human Resources team and develop and effective HR strategy for the Company
- Serve as the Company’s Facility Security Officer (FSO)
In addition to specific duties assigned the Human Resources Director is a key leader on the Fathom5 leadership team and will be consulted on most strategic decisions facing the Company. Specific responsibilities in each area focus are defined below:
Lead the Human Resources team and develop and effective HR strategy for the Company
- Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy
- Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to the Office of the CEO (OCEO)
- Manage the staff of the Human Resources and Recruiting team and develop junior team members; collaborate across the company to develop professional development tracks for all employees; and continue to build upon the Company’s culture
Serve as the Company’s Facility Security Officer (FSO)
- Manage internal Facility Clearance (FCL) by meeting contractual obligations, ensuring compliance, developing policies to support these requirements
- Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Periodically review and self-inspections to ensure readiness for government security vulnerability assessments in FCL and provide data, analysis and recommendations for improvements to the OCEO
- Represent the company in security matters, acting as liaison between the company and the government
- Assist employees with obtaining and maintaining necessary clearances; assist with Common Access Cards as needed
- Brief newly cleared employees on government security requirements and ensure they receive required training in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual; ensure that all employees understand and comply with policy and governmental security requirements
- Safeguard classified materials from unauthorized disclosure by ensuring employee compliance with government regulations, proper classification marking procedures, and maintenance of classified information systems
- Send and track visit requests for cleared employees to interact with other organizations in classified meetings.
- Understand classified spaces and SCIFs and be prepared to coordinate with other team members on those requirements
The Fathom5 Human Resources Director position requires:

The Fathom5 Human Resources Director will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- At least five years of human resource management experience
- Proven work experience with government facilities and security clearance requirements
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
Ultimately, a top-tier Human Resources Director oversees the successful operations of human resources programs and initiatives, ensures compliance with governmental regulations regarding security and Human Resources, and that cleared staff have an efficient process to collaborate on classified projects.
