Sr. Benefits Analyst (Remote)
About the Role:
This position is responsible for managing the administration and compliance of the US 401(k) and health and welfare employee benefit programs. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in building strong processes and continuously seeks ways to deliver positive employee experience. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Benefits.
This position is open to remote candidates, preferably located in Austin or on the West Coast, US.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks for the US retirement and health and welfare plans
Communicate with employees to educate and market our benefits programs
Guide and counsel employees, managers, and other HR teams on the requirements and provisions of the benefit programs and assist with the resolution of potential problems
Lead the annual benefit enrollment process
Analyze proposals and renewal information and interpret insurance carrier contracts.
Partner with HR to develop and improve benefits processes, employee data integrity and reporting.
Partner with vendors to improve the delivery and communication of our benefits and leave programs
Assure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulation, including ACA reporting, Form 5500s, 401(k) audits, workers compensation audits, etc.
Assist with the preparation and agenda for the quarterly 401(k) Committee meetings
Participate in compliance and technical interpretive discussions with internal counsel and external consultants
Compile, analyze and report benefits plan data and financials for strategic planning and evaluation, best practices and benchmark surveys
Assist with the US leave of absences and workers compensation programs
Assist with vendor RFPs and benefits plan analysis and harmonization for mergers and acquisitions
What You’ll Need
At least 5 years’ experience in human resources focusing on US benefits
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Technology industry experience is a plus
Experience with Workday is also a plus
Strong knowledge of ERISA, employee benefit programs, including flexible benefit programs, financial analysis and budgeting
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, planning and problem-solving skills
Must have superior organizational skills and be able to prioritize and work simultaneously on several projects.
Able to work independently as required to complete assigned tasks, and operate within a team environment
Able to shift priorities and effectively perform under pressure.
Demonstrated capability in building trusted partnerships at all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
