Job Summary

A thought-leader and trusted advisor, you will support the strategic direction of the Entertainment Marketing team and the business objectives and execution processes of the brand clients that the team supports. This role will entail being part brand marketer, part strategist, part trend spotter, part comms planner, part executor.

Responsibilities

  • Drive influencer + talent-led strategy against a client brief, which often includes PR objectives, and includes but is limited to, building out decks + client-facing sell-in materials and collaborating with agency partners to layer ideas

  • Monitor entertainment social media channels, digital news outlets, publications and broadcast channels for information relevant to clients in order to proactively provide updates, entertainment information and pitch talent led opportunities to brand, and ultimately lead negotiation to execution of opp

  • Lead the talent procurement process for brand partnerships against client brief, including talent needed for public relations, advertising, digital and influencer campaigns and experiential (could include celebrity, specialist or social-born influencer talent)

  • Manage the vetting and background checks for prospective talent, including utilizing relevant tools/social media insights to assess brand fit

  • Manage the development of client-facing materials, including scopes of work, formal offers, contracts

  • Ability to handle talent partnerships from scope of work through to long form contract on behalf of brand and agency clients; includes collaborating closely with internal business affairs and client legal teams

  • Lead talent services once campaign kicks off, including being the main liaison between talent and client/agency partner, driving the coordination of talent approvals for campaign materials, supervising talent services

  • Creation and development of talent management trackers including budgets, service, payment, SAG and M+E

  • Manage paid strategy and execution process: proficiency in using social analytics tools and technologies and translate output into digestible findings; from upfront talent justification to back end program M&E and reporting

  • Lead on influencer seeding strategies + manage time/action plan of gifting programs

  • Ability to leverage network to identify entertainment event + content opportunities (e.g. music video integrations, event sponsorships, etc.)

  • Lead the strategy and execution of brand partnership opportunities including everything from in-kind donations to large scale sponsorships and co-branded events

  • Manage the vetting of at least five (5) events per week for compliance and brand fit

  • Manage the execution of approved events (vetting talent, gifting, staff on site when needed)

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of client management and talent procurement/buying experience

  • Ideal candidate has PR agency experience, and experience using talent for public relations campaigns

  • Experience interacting with brands, agencies, athletes, celebrities, agents, managers and publicists

  • Passion for the business of entertainment (tv, sports, music, fashion and beauty)

  • Solid understanding of pop-culture, including celebrities, athletes, musicians, digital talent, etc.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting / pitching to clients

  • Knowledge of FTC guidelines for influencers + paid brand partners / sponsorships

  • Understanding of SAG and ability to work with signatories to confirm allocations and financial implication of allocations, manage budget and payment

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred if degree is in a relevant course of study; e.g. business administration, sports management, integrated marketing communications (marketing, PR, advertising)
