The Performance Media Manager is responsible for campaign execution and management while also supervising and coaching associates. They must be wholly capable of managing their workload independently to serve as the point of contact for all items regarding programmatic and social media activation. The Performance Media Manager will build positive relationships and establish clear lines of communication with internal teams and external partners, while leading junior team members on account specifics, media buying platforms/tools and campaign management standard methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have prior digital media and campaign management experience, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and experience with media buying platforms. Collaboration across all agency teams (Integrated Media, Analytics, Strategy, Ad Operations, Creative, etc.) is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build campaigns in buying platforms, perform QAs, and activate according to standard methodologies.
  • Maintain proper pacing for each campaign, which includes setting up automated pacing reports and using pacing docs to provide team visibility.
  • Pull platform reporting and generate insights for Analytics readouts and client results.
  • Responsible for vendor billing and actualization to ensure timely delivery and processing
  • Support planning process alongside senior team members and Integrated Media team
  • Vet vendor offerings and capabilities to ensure the team is using best-in-class tech and most sophisticated tools
  • Provide timely updates to all campaign partners.
  • Participate in client meetings & conversations with guidance from senior team members
  • Support internal and external communications across several accounts – from responding to a brief, strategic recommendations, to developing a multi-channel plan, recommending measurement, campaign launch and optimization, to results reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with internal social media and account teams to develop paid social media plans for all applicable social platforms and activate accordingly.
  • Lead preparation of client-facing presentation slides summarizing campaign performance, optimizations, recommendations, and wrap ups.
  • Onboard and train associates on account specifics, media buying platforms, digital media landscape, programmatic ecosystem, social media players, trading & team best practices
  • Manage calendars, project trackers, call agendas, and recap notes or supervise these tasks by Associates to ensure team is in lockstep and on track with results, projects, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2+ years of experience working in digital media – while owning buying platform management, campaign management, optimization & digital media operations
  • 1+ years of hands-on platform experience (preferred), programmatic and/or social
  • Successful track record of tackling increasing levels of responsibility
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with leading meetings, statuses, calls
  • Experience in media planning
  • Experience with client communication & deliverables
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Excellent project management & time management skills
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word
