In this role, you will be expected to work through strategy with executives at key partners while also being willing and able to dig in and write blog copy. You’ll need to be able to drive big picture strategy while diving deep into the requisite details. We're looking for someone that can both define and run programs, campaigns, and anything necessary to help technology partners succeed with MongoDB's application data platform. 

About the Role

You own the overarching narrative for how partners complement MongoDB's application data platform. In this role you will craft the story that invites technology partners to want to build on the MongoDB application data platform, and also own the day-to-day activities that enable customers to benefit from this holistic platform message. Among other things, this includes:

  • Marketing Programs – Develop, execute and measure end-to-end integrated co-marketing partner campaigns in collaboration with global cross-functional teams including Field Marketing, Content Marketing, Product Marketing and Partner teams across both MongoDB and technology partners
  • Collaborate with technology partners on the creation of joint value propositions and drive the internal and external go-to-market strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with technology partners on the creation of new content for blogs, win wires, digital campaigns, ebooks, etc.
  • We have a big story to tell, and to the extent that story includes technology partners, you own that strategy and execution of getting the word out
  • Sponsorship - Drive the full lifecycle of the sponsorship sales process from securing technology partners, contract fulfillment, to onsite execution of all regional MongoDB user conferences, roadshows, and virtual conferences; Also take charge of ensuring MongoDB's presence and success at technology partner events
  • Partner Relations – Develop relationships across the technology partner teams to ensure we are positioned to access, leverage, and execute marketing programs
  • Metrics – Analyze market and company data alongside partner strategies to define opportunities, audiences, objectives, threats, and priorities
  • Budget - Own and manage regional partner marketing program budget, including month end reconciliation, partner billing, expense forecasting and contribute to the ROI analysis for each major campaign executed; Responsible for managing partner MDF and credits alongside global marketing teams

Personal profile 

  • You are a strong writer who appreciates good storytelling and can collaborate with technology partners to market an expansive, customer-centric data platform message
  • You are driven and a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, pivot and problem-solve
  • You have a high level of accountability and sense of urgency
  • You can take a high-level business challenge and work backwards to determine how best to tackle it both strategically and tactically
  • You are both thinker and doer, with an "own what you do” mentality 

Candidate requirements

  • 5 years experience in a partner marketing and/or business development at b2b technology companies
  • Very strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have extensive experience in creating marketing content with a preferred emphasis on partner co-authored content (joint blogs, win wires, proposals, etc.)
  • Communicate the value proposition of the company, able to create original content, edit existing content, etc
  • Experience with designing and executing multi-touch marketing and nurture campaigns
  • Experience producing partner workshops and events and executing conference sponsorship 

Success Measures

  • Within two months, develop a comprehensive review of our existing technology partner programs and identify areas for improvement, with specific focus on how to align these partners with MongoDB's application data platform strategy
  • You'll need to "keep the lights on" existing co-marketing programs from events/conferences to customer case studies, while taking a position on which should be continued, which should be scrapped, and identify our path forward.
  • Within four months, you will have developed our technology partner strategy and engaged at least two technology partners to create joint go-to-market programs in support of that strategy
  • Within 12 months, you will run the the technology partner go-to-market program that is a competitive differentiator for MongoDB and for our technology partners, with full buy-in from across relevant stakeholders at MongoDB

This role can be based out of our San Francisco or New York office or remotely in North America.
