We are looking for a VP of Media Business Operations who will be responsible for building out a robust Media/Out of Pocket/Production function within the Finance team. This position will support Real Chemistry’s growth initiatives and long-term strategy by effectively managing our pass-through financial reporting and forecasting across the company.

The VP of Media Business Operations will oversee the billing, collections, AP, cash projections and reconciliation of accounts related to the pass-through funds the company manages for clients. The VP will execute the development and implementation of the pass-through financial function as well as ensure policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. The VP will plan, organize, and implement programs to ensure effective performance of these tasks. This role will report to the Managing Director of Treasury.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage, develop, and oversee Media Operations Finance team.

  • Prepare and provide client reconciliations of pass through funds.

  • Forecasting cash spend related to Pass-Through jobs.

  • Review and assist in reconciliation of Pass- Through general ledger accounts.

  • Mitigate financial risk and provide financial insight and guidance to buying teams on the implications of business decisions.

  • Key stakeholder in cross agency collaboration, implementation of media buying processes, system rollouts and integration of new tools.

  • Build and implement new media and financial processes to adapt to ever changing digital landscape.

  • Review vendor and client contract negotiations with Legal team for digital upfronts, custom content, MSAs and other initiatives.

  • Facilitate and manage both internal and external audits as well as drive internal audit compliance across media practice.

  • Participate in Mergers and Acquisitions, integration of acquired subsidiaries.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with executive management, external and internal auditors, board, and audit committee.

  • Analyze financial problems and develop solutions, evaluate programs effectiveness, and lead projects.

  • Hire and develop a strong team as well as work productively in a changing environment.

  • Solutions-oriented team player.

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as necessary.

Must have qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Media Business Operations role with relevant and/or management experience in this field. Previous work with global company required.

  • Prior experience in healthcare, PR/Comms/Marketing industry preferred.

  • Preferred experience with NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, and/or similar financial reporting systems.
