As an Agency Operations Manager in the Policy Sales group at AWL you will be responsible for leading the Agency Operations functions that support the company’s insurance agency (AWLIA).  The two main areas of responsibility are: Agency Administration (reporting, carrier relations, compliance, licensing, and appointments), and Revenue Assurance & Retention (client onboarding, policy follow up, cancellations and customer service).  Also, as a member of the agency leadership team, you will also support sales and sales operations leadership in accomplishing the overall strategic objectives of the agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead both the Revenue Assurance & Retention and Agency Operations Administration teams -
    • The revenue assurance & retention team is responsible for:
      • Providing feedback to sales leadership on process errors that impact retention and compliance
      • Ensuring that onboarding, follow-up and cancellations cases in Salesforce are created, tracked, and resolved
    • The agency operations administration team is responsible for:
      • Managing the agency’s book of business reporting
      • Collaborating with AWL accounting for reporting needs
      • Managing carrier and partner relationships, reporting and coordination
      • Maintaining agency compliance standards by -
        • Reviewing and auditing sales calls
        • Managing compliance escalations
  • Monitor and assess Agency Operations key metrics and ensure team is meeting objective targets
  • Recruit, hire and train staff to scale Agency Operations effectiveness as policy sales and new policy numbers grow significantly
  • Design, develop and implement processes that improve retention, compliance, and team productivity
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, HR/Admin, Technology and Sales to achieve Agency Operations responsibilities

Reports to AWL’s VP of Policy Sales

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of managing operations, service, or sales support organization
  • Demonstrated ability to improve a team’s productivity
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives and leading others to do the same
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel and data management skills
  • Track record of designing and implementing process automation
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives
  • Demonstrated ability to design and oversee processes and procedures in a highly dynamic environment
  • Strong desire to win in the marketplace and achieve excellent results against challenging goals
  • Very comfortable with accountability and KPIs/metrics
  • Insurance (agency or carrier) operations experience preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Bachelors degree required
