Credit Resolutions Specialist
Self Financial is building a community of people who are looking to better their lives by building credit history. You will join our Credit Resolutions Operations team and be responsible for daily operational workflows supporting card operations, compliance reviews (OFAC, KYC), and credit disputes, etc. You will be empowered to tackle incoming transactional tasks on a daily basis to help our company scale.

There are about 100 million people in the US who have low credit scores or who have no access to credit at all. Sadly, there aren’t many options for these people. Most banks aren’t doing anything material to change the situation because it’s not profitable for them to do so. Bad credit or no credit history can be barriers to renting an apartment or getting certain jobs, let alone buying a car or house. And if you can get a loan with a low credit score, you’re very likely to pay a lot more in interest over the life of that loan. What You Will Do
- Complete daily operational risk and credit resolution tasks, including eOscar ACDV, paper dispute responses, and loan verifications
- Monitor internal channels for prioritized workflows
- Assist in other reporting-related functions as needed
What You Bring
- Experience in fintech, card operations, compliance, or banking operations preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to create solutions regarding process improvement
- High EQ and ability to build rapport with team members
- Strong ability to adapt and learn new workflows and skills a must
- Strong technical skills
- Enjoys tackling repetitive tasks
- Ability to work both independently and on a small team
- Dependable and dedicated
- Enthusiastic and “self-starter” approach
- Experience solving problems in a customer-facing environment, and providing consistent support
- Brings high energy and interest to customer inquiries and remains calm and respectful
- With a process-driven mindset; you can identify issues of all kinds and offer solid solutions
- Strong written, verbal, and organization skills
