About Shogun

We are an exciting and rapidly growing fintech company specializing in the home improvement loan sector, supported by 8VC, Founders Fund, and other prominent leaders in Silicon Valley. Our SaaS platform -- Hearth (www.gethearth.com) -- offers contractors across the country an effective and highly competitive way to give their customers financing options for their home improvement projects.

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated, and independent Operations Associate to join our Revenue Operations team here at Shogun.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide day to day support services to the sales team via the Sales Operations queue, as well as developing/maintaining SFDC reports, onboarding new users, creating sales process documentation, and improving data quality.  This is a growth-oriented role focused on training and developing you towards a specialty that fits your strengths.

In this role, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of challenges, processes, and data that makes the engine of this sales organization hum. Sample areas of responsibility include:

  • Reporting and Documentation - pulling ongoing and ad-hoc reporting for weekly / quarterly business reviews, and maintaining the documentation of our operational processes.

  • Systems and Operations - identifying and implementing improvements in current workflows and processes that can help improve efficiency and visibility - this might be in Salesforce.com or other tools.

  • New User Onboarding - Create & Configure new user profiles in our systems. Help new hires get up to speed as quickly as possible with basic systems training, as well as tracking the right effectiveness metrics to see what makes someone a top (or bottom) performer.

  • Internal Support - Since we're still in scrappy startup mode, there's a lot of rolling up your sleeves and getting into the weeds to drive direct impact on a daily basis. We knock out today's problems while also balancing our need to build for the long-term.  Strong technical skills a plus.

  • Cross-Functional Tasks - You’ll be working in Salesforce and Google Sheets / Excel on a daily basis, while also talking frequently with our stakeholders in sales, marketing, ops, product, finance, and more to help troubleshoot systems issues and build future-state processes and systems.

About You

You must have the ability to multitask, quickly pick up new concepts and projects while maintaining an upbeat and positive outlook in a fast-moving environment.

  • Self-starter – You have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment. Strong time management skills (We juggle a lot!)

  • Problem solver – You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans.

  • Articulate – Superb writing skills and experience communicating via email and digital messaging tools.

  • Entrepreneurial – You want to shape the direction of the company.

  • Generalist – You seek exposure to different types of problems and want to try your hand at different sides of the business.

  • Gritty – You roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make things successful. Adaptable and fast learner who is able to self-regulate and remain calm under pressure.

  • Relationship-builder – You can influence and motivate people at all levels across a variety of job functions. Demonstrated excellence in managing work relationships.

Qualifications

This is an entry-level operations role.  We will be looking for an individual with a demonstrable capacity to quickly learn and grow as an independent contributor within our team.

  • Raw smarts - We are looking for people who can look at complex problems and solve them start to finish.

  • Technical Ability

    • Experience with Salesforce (SFCD admin experience a plus)

    • Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFs are your friends)

    • Data Analysis (Measuring, Understanding and Communicating Data)

  • Adaptable - You’re a fast learner who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and is able to self-regulate and remain calm under pressure.

  • Process and operational thinking - You can tackle a problem independently and quickly iterate to a solution, and then also document it in a way that's easy to understand for all audiences.

  • Flexibility and hustle - You manage change and ambiguity well, and have no problems juggling multiple priorities while executing in a fast-paced environment. You’re comfortable pivoting quickly and often.

  • Related Experiences - You have a few years of professional experience, ideally in sales/support, administration, or a startup. Previous SaaS sales or sales ops experience a plus.

Benefits

  • Mission-driven, values-based culture.

  • Competitive pay

  • Growth opportunities as we continue to grow and scale.

  • Generous PTO, plus paid company holidays.

  • Medical, dental, and vision options.

  • 401(k) package.

  • Upbeat, casual and fun office environment and culture.

  • Company-sponsored events & happy hours.

  • Pup-friendly office.

  • Break room with endless snacks, coffee & drinks to keep you energized!
