The Renewals Specialist is responsible for the resident renewal process.

A day in the life of a Renewals Specialist

The Renewals Specialist is responsible for assisting with the resident renewal process, which includes: providing sales-driven calls through overcoming obstacles/objections, drafting and sending renewal leases and managing follow-up communications to achieve company’s retention goals. This is a full-time position, in which the individual is expected to work 40 hours per week. Regular work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.This position will report to the Resident Renewals Lead.

 

  • Receive inbound resident calls regarding renewal opportunities
  • Proactively call residents, providing them with renewal options
  • Monitor “Resident Renewal Inbox” by responding to renewal survey responses, voicemails and general email inquiries
  • Drafting and sending renewal leases via company’s tenant management system and DocuSign
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Branch Leasing staff when working with Section 8 residents or those who wish to add additional occupants when renewing
  • Receive inbound prospect calls for supporting branch leasing efforts with a goal of setting tours
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What you’ll need to have

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior leasing administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns and overcome objections
  • Must possess a professional and friendly attitude while being able to quickly develop rapport with customers over the phone
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word; knowledge of prospect and resident management systems is preferred
