About the Position

At Rev, we value ownership, growth and service and we are seeking a Strategy & Operations Manager for our Austin, Texas office. This role will report to the Director of Operational Excellence.

At Rev, Operations is a core function of our product offering through our marketplace management and service delivery processes. This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with other Operations teams, Product, Marketing, and Customer-facing teams to assist and influence product and process improvements.

This is a project-focused role, which will require managing full cycle projects including - the identification and prioritization of opportunities; analysis and insights; providing and influencing adoption of recommendations; project planning, implementation of improvements (both direct work and project management), and the successful transition of processes back to core teams.

A successful candidate will be a very quick learner - able to quickly dive in and become a subject matter expert - as well as an adept at problem solving and implementing solutions. Strong communication skills are critical. You will focus on identifying value-creation opportunities to drive growth throughout the business, testing new concepts, and executing strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evaluate your own key metrics by which you measure success and report on those metrics
  • Using data and observation, proactively identify the highest leverage opportunities to grow the business and harden critical Ops processes 
  • Support developing our booming subtitles business - drive continued improvements to delivery consistency, and expanding improvements across other language offerings
  • Hypothesize, test, and refine new offerings in combination with marketing, product, and operations
  • Iterate on current programs to monitor, control, and reduce outliers in the turnaround time of customer work
  • Develop teaching, learning, and checking techniques to improve Revver skills and the subsequent delivery quality and consistency of customer work
  • Clearly communicate analysis and recommendations to stakeholders to inform and influence decisions throughout the company
  • Build and iterate on decision models that continuously improve decisions/actions leading to progressively more robust delivery

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience across management consulting, business operations, strategy, analytics, finance, investment banking, business development or related functions
  • Product Manager background could be a great fit for this role
  • Strong analytical skills across multiple types of data – SQL (intermediate), excel, financial modeling
  • Able to synthesize and distill information for both presentations and ongoing communication
  • A demonstrated ability and desire to think and act like an owner by taking a highly proactive approach to your work.
  • Passion for solving complex problems
  • A proven ability to get things done, manage your time, and prioritize for impact
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills
  • Ability to spot patterns and formalize complex ideas into a well-defined process
  • Quick thinker and fast learner. You have good intuition and an eye for the details
  • Experience and comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work in a self-guided manner
  • Ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background through a degree program and work experience
