A collaboration between the open source community and Rapid7, Metasploit helps security teams verify vulnerabilities, manage security assessments, and improve security awareness. As the Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy and roadmap of Rapid7’s Offensive Security products and capabilities.

In this pivotal role, you bring a broad understanding of the security market, the vendors that compete within it and the adjacent markets that support the buyer’s complete needs. You marry business savvy with tech knowledge to form disruptive product strategies, testable hypothesis and focused investments that capture market share.

Hills you’ll want to run up:

Define and deliver a short, medium and long strategy for our Offensive Security portfolio that define and align the buyer, product, technology and business objectives.

Drive innovation in areas including customer adoption and growth, community engagement and open source strategy, threat landscape and attacker focused services.

Obsess over the current and future needs of security and penetration testing teams.

Command respect from engineering for product vision and technical leadership. Lead GTM partners on vision and positioning to maximize market impact.

Create a strategic view driven by research, business case thinking, portfolio management objectives, market dynamics and prioritization.
 

Table stakes for this gig:

5+ years strong, proven track record in product management leadership for a security and/or open source software company. Offensive security experience preferred.

Passion and expertise for building a world-class security solution for an equally passionate, technology savvy audience.

Strong communication skills and the ability to lead an army of people with them.

Can-do self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative, technology

BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
