As an Agile Coach reporting to our head of Program Management, you will partner directly with software development teams and team leads consisting of Technical Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers to improve agile best practices.


This role will lead organization-wide adoption and improvement of agile methods, including:


Agile leadership coaching and training to ScrumMasters, Product Managers, business stakeholders, and leaders;

Collaborating directly with software development teams to coach and guide them on the mechanics of Agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness;

Coaching individual teams in all aspects of Scrum, including daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, and project execution. 


You seek to understand the details, have a strong sense of ownership and urgency, and are a natural at coaching teams to deliver incrementally. You’re an organized thinker, and don’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves and work alongside teams. You have a deep understanding of Agile best practices and the ability to drive org-wide adoption.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Reinforce the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the Agile community to increase agility
  • Coach teams to develop agile best practices such as the definition of done, story estimations, and user story development
  • Lead train-the-trainer activities to ensure all team leads well understand agile best practices
  • Partner with team leads in the development of metrics and reporting to optimize team performance
  • Coach teams and management towards improving Agile process and metrics, evaluate and mentor existing Scrum teams, and deliver training classes for product managers, developers, and testers
  • Assess optimal organizational value streams and influence up, down, and across the org to encourage collaboration on complex projects
  • Develop and deliver ongoing Agile onboarding training for new hires

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years experience in technology organizations, preferably in a software development environment
  • 3+ years of Agile coaching experience with methods such as Scrum, Lean, or Kanban
  • Hands-on experience applying Agile methodologies within infrastructure, hardware, and operational environments
  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices and the ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization
  • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Certified Scrum Master and Product Owner
