Project Manager - Product Development and Manufacturing 

 

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing projects related to consumer product development. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, effective cross-departmental communication, and a keen focus on timelines and deadlines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Ownership and Accountability:

  • Take ownership of assigned projects from initiation to completion.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure project goals align with the overall business objectives.

Cross-Departmental Communication:

  • Facilitate effective communication between various departments involved in the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, supply chain and leadership to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Own project reporting and communicate recurring themes to leadership. 

Timeline and Deadline Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues that may impact timelines.
  • Implement strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Process Ownership and Development: 

  • Implement project management tool for all existing projects. 
  • Lead the development and refinement of project management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process enhancement and implement solutions to address them.
  • Establish clear guidelines and standards for project documentation, reporting, and communication to ensure consistency and alignment across projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on project management methodologies and tools to improve project delivery capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in consumer product development and/or manufacturing 
  • Experience building out and integrating a project management tool such as Asana
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a bonus.
  • High level of competency working in spreadsheets
