The Group Manager role is a high growth leader capable of executing against priority initiatives focused primarily on executing against today’s strategy. This specific requisition is responsible for leading the Attorney Assist and Consumer Sales teams in driving best in class customer experiences, collaborating to support product improvements, and delivering high growth results versus plan. As a highly skilled candidate you are able to establish short-term operational objectives in line with broader strategic plans and delegate assignments to front line leaders, often-times with a hands-on player coach mentality. You are expected to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, fulfillment, Operations and Customer Care to achieve intended outcomes. You will be involved in developing, modifying, and executing company objectives that affect immediate operations and tie to near term company performance. You need to be able to manage and interpret high volumes of customer data, extrapolating meaningful and actionable customer insights. It is expected that you will always comes prepared to represent the customer and provide context for critical decision making. As a Senior leader you will be responsible for creating a team structure and culture that fosters learning and executional excellence. Success in the role will mean pushing your team to set a high bar on measurable goals and meet or exceed them. The Group Manager celebrates each point of progress as a strong coach, partner, and team player to motivate participation. To drive the growth of LegalZoom in the future you will need to actively enable change -- aligning to key strategic and organizational decisions. You must understand and think through end to end implications, supporting the key decisions makers in framing important decisions. To ensure long term success of Consumer, Attorney Assist and your people you must actively support recruiting and best practices in career growth for your teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leads a small functional team or one that delivers meaningful priorities into market
  • Key contributor to overall business goals and driver of project specific goals
  • Ensures all projects have clear and measurable results and takes accountability
  • Contributes to a material amount of revenue to the business
  • Manages and influences
  • Manages material business risk or provides guidance and input to strategic discussions
  • Significant, deep expertise in at least one area of functional craft
  • Deep domain expertise in a critical area
  • Able to engage with executives effectively
  • Exhibits clear and effective written and oral communication at all times.
  • Constructively questions assumptions and seeks to understand all points of view.
  • Able to escalate complex situations with POV on potential solutions.
  • Leads and influences within their project or functional teams
  • Exhibits a bias for action and motivating and inspiring others.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Have in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and LegalZoom’s goals
  • Use data to uncover insights that drive actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrate the ability to think statically
  • Be aware and cognizant of regulatory and competitive landscape and implications
  • Ensure budgets and schedules are in line with company plans and targets
  • As a people manager, provide meaningful career coaching and be a talent steward, identifying strengths and gaps within their respective teams

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sales Manager / Leadership
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (including but not limited to SalesForce, Kofax), and IVR tools (such as Genesys)
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching Sales organizations, teams or new GTM strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
