The Solutions Engineer will lead technical engagements throughout the sales cycle, validating solutions, advising clients, and collaborating across teams to meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Own full lifecycle delivery, architect consistency models, optimize storage engine performance, design APIs, and debug large-scale distributed systems using Rust, TypeScript, Go, C++, and Linux/UNIX.

Build and maintain the Workers control plane: design and ship features, improve performance, scalability, and reliability, design resilient storage and I/O, own production reliability/on-call, drive projects end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and prototype new technologies.

Lead architecture and evolution of the Workers control plane, re-engineer core services for scale, own system stability and efficiency, define benchmarks, participate in on-call, mentor senior engineers, represent the team in design forums, and evaluate/apply emerging technologies including AI to improve the developer platform.

Design, build, and maintain Cloudflare Queues, a global managed message queuing service. Improve reliability, performance, delivery guarantees, and scalability; ship features; debug user-facing bugs; write design documents; work across the stack and use AI tools responsibly throughout development.

Design, build, and operate globally distributed storage systems; own code from design to release; provision and benchmark storage hardware; model failure domains; build observability, runbooks, and automation; collaborate across teams to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.

Operate and architect Cloudflare's global edge and backbone: diagnose and resolve complex network faults, lead incident response and on-call, build and ship LLM-powered operational agents and automation, optimize routing and capacity, mentor junior engineers, and produce SOPs and documentation to improve reliability and scale.

Build and evolve the Durable Objects runtime and its routing/storage systems. Improve reliability, scalability, and performance for stateful serverless workloads. Own code end-to-end, solve distributed systems problems, and work across JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, and C++.

Design and implement foundational layers of next-generation distributed storage and streaming systems. Own code end-to-end, architect consistency models, optimize storage engine performance, design data-centric APIs, and debug complex race conditions, partitions, and infrastructure-level failures. Work across system layers using Rust/C++ and interact with JavaScript/TypeScript as needed.
