Phantom Neuro raised $6M. Phantom Neuro is developing technology to give amputees lifelike control of prosthetic limbs. The company’s implantable sensor translates electrical signals from muscles, sends them wirelessly out of the body and then decodes the signals into movements that are enacted by the prosthetic limb. First Dollar partnered with DriveWealth. First Dollar’s technology allows health plans, financial institutions and third-party administrators to provide HSAs and other health benefits with its Health Wallet platform. Sigo Seguros was featured in Built In’s Future 5. The Austin startup launched its auto insurance platform for Spanish-speaking customers in Texas last year and plans to expand to other states in 2023. In addition to onboarding customers entirely in Spanish, the mobile-first platform does not require a credit score or a U.S. driver’s license to enroll in auto insurance. [Built In Austin]
Hyliion appointed a new CFO. Hyliion, an Austin company that provides electric powertrain systems for commercial semi-trucks, appointed Jon Panzer to replace Sherri Baker as CFO. Panzer worked for 26 years at Union Pacific Railroad Company, where he most recently served as senior vice president of intermodal operations. [Transport Topics]
Shipwell partnered with NMB Solutions. Shipwell, an Austin company that uses AI and cloud computing to automate and optimize supply chains, partnered with NMB Solution to bring its Transportation Management System to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
