Humanoid robotics company Apptronik announced a $520 million extension to its Series A funding round. The investment follows its initial Series A round, which was oversubscribed at $415 million. This Series A-X raise from investors including B Capital, Google and Mercedes-Benz totals the company’s funding at almost $1 billion.

Apptronik is known for its Apollo robot, a humanoid machine designed to work alongside humans on labor-intensive jobs in sectors like manufacturing and logistics. The robot can complete tasks like transporting components, sorting and kitting. Apptronik’s latest raise will help it develop the newest version of Apollo.

“Today’s investment is a strong vote of confidence in our mission to deliver humanoid robots that are designed to work alongside humans, not just as tools but as trusted collaborators,” Jeff Cardenas, Apptronik’s CEO, said in a statement. “... We’re transforming workflows, reimagining factory floors and writing a new chapter for next-generation humanoid robots that are designed and built to drive meaningful societal progress.”

The Austin-based company will put the $935 million in funding toward increasing production of Apollo, expanding its global commercial and pilot deployments, expediting time-to-market and building facilities for robot training and data collection. Apptronik will also invest in product innovation, with plans to unveil a new robot in 2026.
