Provide preoperative assessments, testing, instructions and education for surgical patients; review orders and labs; communicate with surgeons and OR staff; arrange post-op follow-up; evaluate for complications and ensure safe delivery of perioperative care in an ambulatory surgery center.

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain pre-certifications/authorizations/referrals, determine medical necessity per payer policies, communicate with payers, patients, and clinical teams, document in the EMR, and help reduce claim denials through timely, accurate authorizations.

Greet and direct patients, schedule appointments, collect co-payments, verify demographics and insurance, maintain front desk operations, input patient data, support clinical staff, protect PHI under HIPAA, and handle administrative tasks to keep patient flow efficient.
