Investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and resolves automobile physical damage claims. Reviews coverage, damages, liability, applicable laws, policy benefits, settlement values, subrogation opportunities, and repair estimates. Communicates with insureds and affected parties, documents claim files, approves payments, coordinates repairs or rentals, and refers claims when needed. May inspect vehicles, manage repair shop compliance, handle total losses, and support simple litigation cases.

Evaluates and manages intermediate to complex Michigan PIP claims, including coverage analysis, investigations, medical documentation review, claim valuation, payments, negotiations, subrogation, attorney involvement, and MCCA claims. Maintains accurate claim records, ensures regulatory compliance, collaborates with insureds and providers, and refers cases to specialized departments. The role requires knowledge of Michigan no-fault laws, claims regulations, medical terminology, and effective decision-making and communication skills.

Manage the annual corporate and operational audit plan, including risk assessments, control testing, audit execution, workpaper review, findings, recommendations, and management presentations. Supervise and develop professional auditors, coordinate with external auditors, oversee special projects, monitor regulatory and control effectiveness, manage budgets and timelines, and improve internal audit methodologies across a multi-state organization.
