Support day-to-day people operations for a distributed US-based team: coordinate onboarding/offboarding, process payroll inputs, assist benefits enrollment, maintain HR records, serve as first contact for routine employee questions, support leave administration, coordinate vendor/EOR interactions, run employee programs and events, and cover expanded HR responsibilities during a planned leave (Dec–May). Identify process improvements and maintain operational playbooks.

Perform precise audio annotation of animal vocalizations and other modalities, validate and curate datasets, develop/use code and tools to ensure annotation quality, provide feedback on annotation software, integrate datasets into ESP's platform, and collaborate with researchers on scientific projects and publications.

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, AP, payroll accounting, grant/fund accounting, and audit preparation. Produce financial statements and reporting, support budgeting and forecasts, consolidate multi-currency ESP France results, and improve systems and controls while partnering with leadership and outsourced CFO advisors.

Lead and execute ESP's fundraising strategy to expand major gifts, foundation support, and government grants. Manage development operations, cultivate and solicit high-net-worth and institutional donors, oversee grant writing and stewardship, optimize CRM and pipeline metrics, and collaborate with leadership and scientists to craft funder-ready narratives. Supervise a small team and support organizational growth.
