Teams at ERCOT

Participate in ERCOT’s 12–16-month development program supporting grid and market applications. Design, code, test, validate, implement, configure, and support power-system and wholesale-market software. Gain experience with power systems, energy management, SCADA, market systems, programming, databases, operating systems, AI, machine learning, analytics, and IT operations while receiving mentoring and training.

Develops and maintains transmission system models for ERCOT real-time operations and planning. Builds modeling software and validation tools using C#, Java, Python, and SQL; manages model infrastructure, databases, interfaces, and servers; reviews equipment data; supports NMMS upgrades; collaborates with utilities and internal stakeholders; evaluates NERC standards; and provides training, mentoring, documentation, and project support.

Leads engineers responsible for large-generation interconnection and modeling within the ERCOT power system. Oversees interconnection studies, modeling data, network model updates, protocol compliance, commissioning reviews, and planning databases. Interfaces with market participants, management, technical committees, regulators, and industry organizations. Supervises, hires, coaches, and develops professional staff; contributes to budgets, policy initiatives, and expert testimony on generation interconnection matters.
