Lead theoretical and simulation work for beam smoothing and laser-plasma interaction (LPI). Coordinate beam and target requirements, support DUED implementation, provide LPI simulation/theory for experiments, partner with laser, beam smoothing, diagnostics, and target teams to mitigate LPI risk and shape fusion roadmap.

Develop and validate integrated optical and multiphysics simulation frameworks for a laser Digital Twin. Model laser amplifiers, couple optical/thermal/mechanical domains, build surrogate models, validate against experiments, run uncertainty analyses, and collaborate with engineering and experimental teams to inform system design and optimization.
