Lead GiveWell’s legal function as its primary legal decision-maker, developing legal strategy, overseeing nonprofit compliance, managing contracting, and advising executives and the Board. Build and lead a scalable legal team and modernize legal administration through technology and automation. Provide strategic leadership for Grants Administration, guide complex grant structures, and partner cross-functionally on employment, privacy, security, intellectual property, governance, international expansion, and operational risks.

Lead and improve GiveWell's cause prioritization process, build and manage a sub-team within New Areas, oversee early-stage grant investigations and portfolios, perform evidence review and cost-effectiveness modelling, communicate externally to source ideas, and directly investigate complex grantmaking opportunities to inform large funding decisions.

Lead full-cycle recruiting for Operations and Outreach roles: source passive candidates, partner with hiring managers, design hiring infrastructure and assessments, manage candidate experience, and measure hiring effectiveness. Contribute to recruiting strategy, data tracking, and process improvements while supporting hiring across diverse functions.
