Provides supervised clinical support, including patient intake, rooming, documentation, specimen collection, venipuncture, EKGs, medication administration, wound care, equipment sterilization, and infection control. Maintains organized exam rooms, coordinates care, protects confidentiality, and communicates patient information to providers. Requires medical assistant certification, BLS certification, computer literacy, Excel skills, medical terminology knowledge, and effective communication. One year of medical assistant experience, coding knowledge, and bilingual ability are preferred.

Provide after-hours hospice nursing: triage patient needs by phone, respond to crisis calls, perform in-person visits (admissions, death, recertification, routine), complete initial nursing evaluations within 48 hours of referral, reassess at least every 15 days, and document goals, interventions, and patient/family responses.

Supports clinic operations by greeting patients, managing registration and check-in/check-out, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, answering phones, maintaining medical records, and processing correspondence and release requests.
